. . . Great For Chilling

There’s nothing like chilling out in a lovely, bubbly, hot tub at the end of a long hard day, no wonder they’re appearing in back yards and gardens around the country. The real beauty of a hot tub (apart from the obvious benefits) is that it doesn’t really matter whether it’s warm or cold outside, well, if it’s cold you do need a little organization before you take your first dip . . . a nice fluffy robe ready for you to slip on as soon as you pluck up the courage to stand up and leave your hot tub. Relaxing under the stars in a hot tub with friends, sipping chilled wine (better make sure there’s plenty of it handy) really is the epitomy of living a life of luxury.

Hot Tubs are kind of like having your very own geyser on tap, (geyser . . . not geezer, although he’ll probably be happy to join  you). Hot tubs previously only lived in the world of the rich and privileged, but these days there are loads of different sizes, types and models of hot tub to choose from, with accessories to help you keep down those all important utility bills whilst keeping the temperatures hot, hot, hot. Well, it’s not called a hot tub for nothing you know, cool tub doesn’t sound quite so inviting does it, kind of like a deep puddle.

When you first enter your hot tub, beware of strange stirrings and goings on . . .

. . . although, to be honest, the thoughts of going back in time a good twenty years or so is rather appealing . . . wonder what I’d do differently? Hmmm, better not go into that now, but I was rather a fan of big hair, shoulder pads and brightly colored leg warmers (not all at the same time).

Hot tub installation, running and servicing is quite easy once you start talking to the experts. Many of them are transportable so you can still enjoy the benefits of a hot tub if you live in rented accommodation, or you’re always moving house . . . take your hot tub with you, you’ll be surprised at how popular it makes you with the neighbors. “Join you . . . who us . . . don’t mind if we do”.

Hot tubs are not just for pleasure you know, all those bubbles and spa treatments do offer real mental and medical benefits. Well, basically, once you’re used to having a hot tub at your disposal for any length of time you go pretty mental when you haven’t been in it for a day or two.

From an intimate little hot tub just big enough for two to a family sized (or neighbor sized) hot tub, you really don’t need much space and you don’t need to spend a fortune but you will be very glad that you took the plunge!

Now forgive me for ruining the moment, but did anyone else think that it was more like start of a washing machine commercial?

Yikes, I haven’t been in one that does that . . . not sure how it would feel actually. A bit weird maybe, but at least you could find your way to the hot tub in the dark without any problems. Your neighbors would think that an alien had landed . . . that could be fun too!
